Gregg Lindner  

Gregg Lindner
Executive Vice President, Research

Gregg Lindner brings over 25 years of quantitative and qualitative research experience to lead Scarborough’s research and operations team. Gregg and his organization are responsible for quality assurance of all Scarborough data, creating and adapting research methodologies, custom research projects and overall management of Scarborough’s product line. He leads the production and operations groups including data collection, data analysis, data delivery, call center management and all other aspects of the business that ensure the accuracy and usefulness of the Scarborough database. Under his leadership, Scarborough has grown its product offering to include more Top-Tier markets, and introduced a new Mid-Tier market service, The Multi-Market database and Scarborough’s USA+-- a national data service. Also under Gregg’s leadership, the Top-Tier, Multi-Market, and USA+ services are Media Rating Council (MRC) accredited.

Gregg had an extensive background in consumer and media research. Prior to Scarborough he directed the development of new products, software, applications and policies for Arbitron’s cable and advertiser-marketer sales groups. During his tenure at Simmons, Gregg updated systems through introducing new data collection procedures and modernized processes which resulted in a sharp decrease in data errors for the company. Gregg began his research career as a statistician for the U.S. Census Bureau.

Many of Gregg’s research papers have been featured in industry publications and he is a frequent presenter at conferences. He has a Masters degree in quantitative analysis and urban sociology from the University of Maryland.

Gregg has three children and is involved in many of their activities (coaching, school/community activities) and also has indoctrinated them as Mets and Jets fans.
