Howard Goldberg
Senior Vice President, Radio, Sports Marketing and Agency Services

Howard Goldberg leads Scarborough’s Radio, Sports Marketing and Agency divisions. In this role Howard is a liaison with partner company, Arbitron. Howard brings more than 15 years of media and research industry experience to assist advertising, media, marketing and public relations agencies in their quest to grow their business.

As the leader of Scarborough’s radio division, Howard has grown the service to include clients from across the spectrum of the radio industry from traditional radio stations to rep firms, public radio and radio networks. Scarborough Sports Marketing clients represent a variety of leagues, teams, collegiate sports, sports marketing agencies and emerging sports in the U.S. Howard created the company’s training division which teaches clients how to develop consumer insights and get the most out of their data investment.

Howard began his career in radio in Lansing, MI and worked for Katz Radio and Courtney Communications. Howard’s tenure with Scarborough began in 1990 as an account executive in the radio and agency sales divisions. He later moved to the media software company, Tapscan, where he achieved the highest sales in the country while manager of the Midwestern region. He returned to Scarborough in 1998 as a senior account executive in the television division and later was promoted to create and lead Scarborough’s training services. Howard joined the Sports Marketing Division in 1999 and added the Radio Division to his roster of responsibilities in 2001, followed by agency and advertiser services in 2008.

Howard earned his bachelor's degree in advertising from Michigan State University. He is a member of the Broadcast Advertising Club of Chicago, the Media Research Club of Chicago, the National Sports Marketing Network, and the Founders Club of the National Sports Forum.

Howard is a loyal fan of his alma mater, MSU and enjoys watching Spartans games with his wife and two children.
