KEYNOTE PRESENTERS
Tom Asacker is a popular lecturer, writer and corporate advisor with a strong background in business and brand strategy, as well as internal culture and operations development. He is the founder of acleareye.com and the author of several books, including the popular business fable Sandbox Wisdom, A Brand New World, and the newly released A Clear Eye for Branding, the latter of which he will share insights from during his keynote address “Revolutionize Your Brand.” Tom helps organizations transition from being "economically-driven" to "emotionally-driven," so that they can increase revenues without increasing costs. His clients include Hewlett-Packard, MassMutual, National Association of Broadcasters, Time Warner Cable, Sun America, and UPS.
Tim Daniel is Director of Noll & Associates’ Organization Performance Group. An applied behavioral scientist, Tim’s presentation, “Engaging the Game Boy Generation,” will offer insight on the newest generation of consumers thought to have almost no sense of attachment, and the challenges of keeping them hooked. Tim holds degrees in applied behavioral science and organizational psychology. He worked as a counselor and manager in large non-profit organizations for 15 years before becoming a full-time seminar presenter in 1991. Tim counts news organizations, and radio and television networks, sports teams and leagues and several Fortune 1000 marketers as his clients.
Todd Ervin is the Senior Manager of Primary Market Research at Nextel. He started with Nextel Communications in 1000 in the finance department, and joined Nextel’s Strategic Research & Analysis Team in 2002. Todd is responsible for the company’s NASCAR Research, Industry Services Research, and Public Sector Research. Todd holds an MBA from Webster University and served as Second Lieutenant Apache Attack Helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army. During his keynote presentation Friday, Todd will address the use of customer profiling to more effectively reach consumers.
Linda Fisher, Ph.D., is Director, National Member Research, AARP. Her responsibilities include research and consultation to support membership development at AARP, member service, brand development, publications, and strategic planning. She is a key AARP spokesperson on topics including the power of the 50+ market and how best to serve that market, and will share her insights during her presentation , “Turning Insights into Action: One Marketer’s Approach.” Prior to coming to AARP in 1997, Dr. Fisher was Director of Research at Rowan & Blewitt Incorporated, now a division of Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
Geoff Ramsey is CEO and co-founder of New York-based eMarketer and is a well-known expert on e-business trends. Geoff will presentation, “New Strategies for Marketing in an Age Where the Consumer is in Control,” and will address the variety of complex challenges facing marketers today – from “the TIVO factor” to MP3 players and blogging. Geoff spent the first 17 years of his career in advertising, working at New York advertising agencies including TBWA, NW Ayer & Partners and Ogilvy & Mather. He used his strategic marketing and research skills to help create marketing and advertising successes for firms such as Procter & Gamble, Kraft General Foods, M&M Mars and AT&T.
Ken Schmidt is the former Director of Communications for Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Ken played a vital role in the motorcycle legend’s turnaround from the brink of ruin to global dominance. Since leaving the company in 1997, Ken has continued to be a major force in the communication industry and has provided non-traditional communication and brand-building expertise to many of the world’s best-known businesses. He recently co-wrote a book with the grandson of one of the company’s founders, 100 years of Harley-Davidson, which was released in 2003 to coincide with the company’s 100th anniversary. His presentation “Make Some Noise!” is a story of how Harley-Davidson built an entirely new corporate culture.

Joshua Chasin is the Principal of Warp Speed Marketing, Inc., a consultancy providing services to marketers, media companies, and information providers. Josh is a 17-year veteran of Arbitron, Inc., and was also president of online research company Northstar Interactive. During his career, Josh has been directly involved in the development of audience measurement services for TV, radio, magazines, newspapers, the Internet, and out-of-home media. He has also designed various syndicated and custom media and marketing research studies, utilizing both online and offline research techniques. In his presentation, “Targeting Top Advertising Categories,” Josh will discuss how to better target leading ad categories with new prospecting techniques.
Kathi Graham-Leviss, President, XB Coaching, Inc., has been helping companies manage and develop their talent for more than 20 years. Kathi has helped thousands of chief executives, front-line managers, and sales groups develop employees into organizationally-minded problem solvers. Kathi is a certified behavioral analyst, values analyst, and attribute index analyst, and a member of the International Coaching Federation and The American Society of Training and Development. She founded XB Coaching on the principle that, with the right kind of training, companies can achieve the goals they set. Kathi will teach us how to “Close the Deal” on Thursday.
Brandon Jaffuel manages many of the syndicated data sources for E&J Gallo Winery, and is the E&J Gallo expert on Scarborough, Spectra, and AC Nielsen Household Panel data. In his current role, he works with Sales, Marketing, Consumer Research and Supply Chain teams to ensure that syndicated data is applied to decision making. Brandon has played a vital role in identifying uses for Scarborough data and enabling users to apply this information to decision making and sales presentations. His range of experience in Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales at E&J Gallo has allowed him to train others to apply syndicated data to their unique business needs. He will share his experiences leveraging Scarborough across his organization during his presentation, “Successfully Integrating Scarborough into Your Organization.”
Judy Vogel is Director, Media Research & Communications Insights for OMD and is responsible for directing the research initiatives of the agency. Prior to the formation of OMD Judy was SVP, Media Research Director for BBDO and she also spent 13 1/2 years with Ketchum Advertising. Judy is a member of the Board of Directors of the Audit Bureau of Circulations and also serves on ABC’s Reader Profile Advisory Committee and Subscriber Profile Advisory Committee. She serves on the Radio and Print Committees of the Media Ratings Council. Judy is a member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) Media Research Committee and RAEL, the Radio Advertising Effectiveness Lab. Judy is one of the “Agencies and Advertisers” panelists.
Tina Weston manages syndicated research and marketing information at Wells Fargo Bank. Her responsibilities include maintaining the Market Research Web Site, serving as the point of contact for vendors/internal clients, and producing local market competitive profiles. Before joining Wells Fargo, Tina worked for a private consulting firm, managing secondary research. During her session, “Multicultural Consumer Analysis,” Tina will discuss how to create effective African-American and Hispanic consumer segmentations.
